Ensimmäinen joulu omassa talossa, ja ensimmäinen joulu kotona, menemättä minnekään. Tällä kertaa vieraat tuli meille. Maalaisjoulu. Ihanaa.
Kylmyys hieman häiritsee kylläkin - edellisenä yönä oli pakkasennätys -29,9 C. Sisälläkin on vähän turhan vilpoista.

Diesel sai joululahjaksi mm. luomulampaan selkärankaa. Hyvin maistui, kiitokset Mikkosille! Muitakin herkkuja tuli. Diisu käyttäytyi ihan mallikkaasti koko joulunvieton ajan. Se on kovasti rauhoittunut eikä vaadi enää päivittäistä aktivointia pysyäkseen nahoissaan. Se on oppinut myös käyttämään hyväkseen koira-aitausta - välillä tulee jostain todella kaukaa, kun huutelen sisälle. :-)

First Christmas in our own house, and first Christmas at home, without any travelling. The guests came over here. Our first Christmas on the countryside. Lovely.
It is really cold. The record now is -29.9 C degrees at night. It is also a little bit too cold inside the house because the big fireplaces at not yet working.

Diesel behaved well all Christmas eve. The guests came and he was his happy self. Not so overwhelmingly excited about things anymore - he has calmed down a lot. He does not need to work every day anymore to keep down his energy level. He can take days with less action as well. :-)
Diesel got some Christmas presents: he got the spine and ribs of lamb, and other good things to eat. He sure enjoys it! He also enjoys the big dog fence. I just let him out the door and he trots around the yard. He takes advantage of most of the fenced area: he can be quite far away sometimes. But he always comes when I call him.
