Ajelimme Kuusankoskelta rauniotreeneistä suoraan Helsingin keskustaan jossa osallistuimme kokoontumiseen ja yhteiskuvaan kansainvälisen pelastuskoirapäivän merkeissä.
Vasta matkalla Helsinkiin tajusin, että jokin oli mennyt sunnitelmissani pieleen, kun meillä oli Mikon kanssa vieläkin Diisu mukana. ;-D No, ei auttanut ihmettely, piti kestää hösöttäjää. Laitoin Dieselille kuonopannan mikä vähän hillitsee sen menoa - ei tosin juuri hidasta, eli kiskomisen sijaan se lähinnä steppailee paikoillaan ja ravaa ympyrää... Kokoonnuimme Kisahalin parkkiksella, pukeuduimme FRF-porukan kanssa varusteisiin ja ryhmittäydyimme. Diisu touhotti kovasti koko matkan eduskuntatalon portaille, mutta siellä se ihme kyllä malttoi istuksia ihan rauhassa. Mikollakaan ei mennyt hermo sen kanssa.
Diisu on kyllä siitä kiva koira, että se ei turhia rähise eikä pullistele. Nytkin se törmäili ja nuuskutteli vieraitten urosten kanssa eikä ollut mitään ongelmia. Alla Jari Miettisen kuvia.
April 25th is the International SAR Dog Day around the world. IRO (international rescue dog organisation) recommended that in all countries the SAR dogs should get together at 3 pm (GMT 0, that was at 6 pm in the evening in Finland) in the capitol of the country. The idea was to show that the voluteers all over the world are available to help at the same time.
I had no time to drop Diesel home before driving to Helsinki after the rubble training sessions in Kuusankoski. After a hectic day I honestly preferred a peaceful evening happening with just Miklos, but what the heck, we just had to take Diesel with us. Luckily I had his muzzle collar in the car - it makes it easier to handle him although it doesn't slow him down much.
All the SAR dogs got together in a big parking lot close to the centre. FRF dogs and handlers would were the FRF clothes. Then we marched to the centre, to the Parliament house for a photo session. Diesel behaved himself quite nicely - he was in a big rush (I still don't know where!) during the walk but at the destination he did sit down calmly. He didn't even make Miklos nervous. ;-)
It was also very nice to see, again, that Diesel does not have problems with other males - no growling or other bad behaviour. Below you can see photos by Jari Miettinen.
