Tänään Diesel kävi toista kertaa Hesan harjoitusalueella treenailemassa. Koska ensimmäisellä kerralla oli vaikeuksia irtaantua ohjaajasta, otettiin nyt peräänlähtöjä hieman pitemmälle. Lisäksi treenailtiin epämiellyttäville alustoille menoa.
Irtaantumisongelmaa ei nyt sitten ollutkaan, vaan intoa piisasi ja Diesel ei taakseen katsellut. Vaikuttaisko tähän sitten se, että nyt Diesel on asunut meillä jo 1,5 viikkoa joten elämä alkaa vakiintua. ;-)
Otettiin useampi maalimies erilaisiin hankaliin paikkoihin, kuten putkiin. Ensimmäinen putkeen meno oli todella vaikeaa, ohjaaja joutui mönkimään sinne edeltä. Sen jälkeen samaan ja viereiseenkin putkeen sujahdettiin tuosta noin vaan. Jälkimmäisen, pitkän ja pimeän putken Diesel oli käynyt tutkimassa vielä tarkemminkin, maalimies oli puolessa välissä ja palkan jälkeen Diesel oli mönkinyt hänen ylitseen ja käynyt katselemassa vielä pitemmällä putkessa, että mitä siellä oikein on.
Lopuksi otettiin ritiläportaita ylös menevä maalimies ja se olikin vaikea (ehkä ensi kerralla helpompi), ja taas pääsi ohjaajakin kiipeämään vähän matkaa. Hyvin meni loppujen lopuksi kuitenkin. Täytynee käydä Miklosin ja Dieselin kanssa kimpassa talsimassa ja kiipeilemässä tuolla vaikeissa paikoissa.
Miklos on Dieselin idoli: minne tahansa se menee tai mitä tekeekin, Diesel kulkee perässä ja tekee heti saman.
Ero ekaan harjoituskertaan oli suuri, se oli kiva huomata.
Diesel visited the Helsinki training area for the second time today. Because he had difficulties leaving the handler (me) the first time (one week ago), I wanted to train especially this today. Now, there was no such problem. He ran after the victim and didn't look back. :-) Maybe having lived in my house now for 1.5 weeks has made him calm down a little, maybe he now realizes I'm not going to disappear suddenly.
Secondly, we trained moving on unpleasant surfaces. It seems, for Diesel first time is difficult and after that there are no problems. Like entering a tunnel: the first time I had go there, too, and after that he entered the same tunnel and also another tunnel with no problems.
Diesel is simply inexperienced, and now he has to do all the same things as the puppies who start early. Considering this, I think he is doing well.
Comparing how Diesel had no idea of what was happening in the first training session one week ago, he did very well today! Good progress. The first year in training is always so nice that way: the progress is fast. After that comes at least one full year of repetition, repetition, and repetition: not so many new things, just hundreds and hundreds of repetitions to build up a good basis for the upcoming years of work.
Maybe I should take Miklos and Diesel together for a walk on the rubble area, so that Miklos could show some good example for Diesel on how to move around there. :-)
Miklos is Diesel's idol: wherever Miklos goes and whaterver Miklos does, Diesel does the same right away. :-D
